About Oughteragh (Ballinamore)

Oughteragh (Ballinamore) was built around 1785. It has a three-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows and a bellcote.

The building

This Church of Ireland church stands on an elevated site on Church Lane in Ballinamore. It features a three-bay nave with a projecting west porch and vestry, all under pitched or hipped slate roofs. The structure includes roughcast rendered walls with a plinth, while the vestry has random stone walls. Access is via a pointed-arch doorway to the porch and a shouldered-arch doorway to the vestry, both with timber battened doors. The site is enclosed by a random stone wall with wrought-iron gates and coursed squared stone piers, surrounding a graveyard with grave markers.
