About St Patrick’s Church, Ballinamuck
St Patrick’s Church, Ballinamuck was built around 1956. It has a seven-bay nave and pebbledashed walls. Notable features include a three-stage tower and stained-glass windows.
History
Robinson, Keefe and Devane designed the church, which opened in October 1961 after construction costing £35,000; Ledwith Brothers of Longford were the main contractor. It replaced an earlier church of about 1840 that was demolished for the new building.
