About St Mary’s Church, Drumlish
St Mary’s Church, Drumlish was built in 1907. It has a cruciform plan with a five-bay nave and pebbledashed walls under a pitched artificial slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and mosaic work.
History
The church was built for Rev. Canon John Reville and replaced an earlier T-plan church. That earlier building later served as a mortuary chapel around 1910 at the cemetery on Hill Street and is no longer extant.
