About St. Patrick
St. Patrick was built between 1908 and 1909. It has a six-bay nave, built of squared granite under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained glass including a rose window, a bellcote and buttressed walls.
The building
Designed by William Henry Byrne and Son, the church features a seven-bay double-height nave and single-bay chancel. The exterior comprises rock-faced granite with Barnaculia granite dressings, a slate roof, and a gabled bellcote housing a cast-bronze bell. Interior elements include an exposed timber roof, terracotta tiled floors, and a 1925 stained glass Trinity Window donated by Sister Mary Rafferty.
