About St. Michael’s, Clerihan
St. Michael’s, Clerihan was built in 1820. It has a four-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and an internal gallery.
Notable features
Inside, a pair of cut-white-marble Classical wall monuments flank the nave, while the sanctuary retains a Classical reredos and the ceiling is finished with a moulded cornice and plaster roses. One lancet still has an eight-over-eight-over-eight timber sash with interlocking Y-tracery glazing bars.
