About St Mary’s, Fanavolty
St Mary’s, Fanavolty was built around 1830. It has a seven-bay nave and rendered walls. Notable features include stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and a marble altar.
History
A porch was added around 1880 and the church was renovated in 2003. The east end terminates in a pentagonal apse, while the interior retains an exposed queen-post roof with timber sheeting and a panelled balustrade on cast-iron supports.
