Clondevaddock Christ The Redeemer was built around 1610. The church has pebbledashed walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and an internal gallery.
History
This Church of Ireland church probably dates to the start of the seventeenth century, possibly built shortly after the Ulster Plantation in 1610. It was reportedly undergoing restoration in 1622 and altered in 1693, c. 1830 and 1868. The site may occupy the location of an early ecclesiastical foundation associated with St Davaddog, with local tradition recording early cross slabs and holy wells in the vicinity.
