About St Mary’s Church, Lisdoonan
St Mary’s Church, Lisdoonan is a Roman Catholic parish church in Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan. It is part of the Clogher Diocese.
History
Donaghmoyne appears as a parish in the early fourteenth century, in the deanery of the same name. St Mary's is one of three churches in the parish, the others being St Patrick's at Broomfield and St Lastra's at Donaghmoyne.
The church at Lisdoonan carries a date-stone of 1812. A grotto dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes stands at Lisdoonan.
