About St. Mary's Church, Clanaphilip
St. Mary's Church, Clanaphilip was built in 1973. It has a simple single-cell form and rendered walls. Notable features include a bell tower and stained-glass windows.
History
The parish had a mud-wall church at Termon Cross in 1785, replaced by a thatched chapel in 1810. That chapel was replaced in 1870, and a belfry and curate's house were added in 1883. The present church retains the bell, baptismal font, 1810 date-stone and altar bell from this sequence.
