About St. Laurence O'Toole, Inch
St. Laurence O'Toole, Inch was built around 1840. It has a T-shaped plan with a two-bay nave and pebbledashed walls under a pitched artificial slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and window tracery.
The building
The structure incorporates elements from an earlier 1806 chapel, including the bellcote and memorial plaques set into the south gable. Rubble limestone is exposed around window openings and at quoins, contrasting with the pebbledashed walls. The church features pointed-arch windows with dressed limestone voussoirs and traceried timber sliding sash panes, while the transept gables contain fixed windows with Y-tracery.
