About St. Lachteen's Church, Grenagh

St. Lachteen's Church, Grenagh was built around 1820. It has a T-shaped plan with a three-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and window tracery.

Notable features

The interior contains a carved neo-Classical reredos with Corinthian columns and pilasters beneath an open-bedded segmental pediment. This reredos is similar to the one in St Patrick’s Church, Fornaught.
