About St. Joseph
St. Joseph was built in 1881. The church is built of squared sandstone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and an internal gallery.
Notable features
The entrance porch has an ashlar limestone surround with polished limestone columns, a carved cross at the apex and timber battened double doors retaining cast-iron strap hinges. The gables carry carved stone crucifixes, and dressed limestone is used against the red sandstone walling.
