About St. James, Eglish & Drumcullen Parish

St. James, Eglish & Drumcullen Parish was built around 1900. It has a cruciform plan with a three-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, mosaic work and a marble altar.

History

The graveyard contains memorials including examples with legible dates from the 1840s. A separate famine memorial records local population figures for 1841 and 1851 and commemorates those who died during the 1845–49 famine.
