About St Connell’s, Glenties
St Connell’s, Glenties was built between 1971 and 1974. The church has rendered walls. Notable features include buttressed walls and an organ. It was designed by Liam McCormick.
History
The present church replaced a church built between 1904 and 1911 to a design by Edward J. Toye. That building had itself replaced an 1858 church, which in turn replaced a church dating from 1795.
