About St Colman's Church, Corofin
St Colman's Church, Corofin dates from 1842. The church has rendered walls. Notable features include a three-stage bell tower, stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and mosaic work.
History
The church occupies the site of Corofin Chapel, which stood from 1760 to 1844 and served as the local church for the Blake family of Cregg Castle. A 1966 renovation replaced the earlier stained glass with abstract depictions of biblical scenes.
