About St Colman, Kinvara
St Colman, Kinvara dates from 1819. It has a T-shaped plan with a three-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a bell tower, stained-glass windows, a marble altar and window tracery.
The building
The church is named for a local sixth-century saint. A bell tower dated 1845 adjoins the structure, featuring a pyramidal roof and metal cross finial. The interior contains rendered walls with timber panelling to the dado, a marble altar, and an inscribed marble plaque. A High Cross memorial stands within the rubble limestone boundary walls at the front of the site.
