About St Catherine's Church, Killina
St Catherine's Church, Killina was built around 1860. It has a T-shaped plan, built of limestone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained glass including a rose window, a bellcote and lancet windows.
The building
The rear includes both an entrance porch and sacristy. The sacristy has a round window, while segmental-headed doorways serve the entrance porch and pointed-arch doorways serve the transepts. Stone crosses crown the gables, and a shrine stands at the front of the site.
