About Sacred Heart

Sacred Heart is a Roman Catholic parish church in Dublin, Co. Dublin. It is part of the Dublin Archdiocese.

History

Sruleen lies in West Dublin, bounded by the original parish of Clondalkin, the outer ring road, the N7 and the river Camac, from which the parish takes its name, meaning little stream.

The Archdiocese of Dublin had purchased land for the parish as early as 1977, and Sruleen was formally constituted a parish in 1991. The parish's own history names Fr Brendan Kieran, since deceased, as the first Sacred Hearts priest to serve regularly in the main Clondalkin parish, and credits him with laying the groundwork for Sruleen to develop as a parish in its own right.

Clergy

  • Pastor Rev. Vincent Fallon sscc – Co-PP
