About Sacred Heart Church, Clones (Cluain Eois)

Sacred Heart Church, Clones (Cluain Eois) was built between 1891 and 1895 in the Gothic Revival style. It has a cruciform plan with a four-bay nave, built of squared limestone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a four-stage tower with a broach spire, stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and carved Stations of the Cross. The tower was added in 1897.
