About Clones Presbyterian Church
Clones Presbyterian Church was built in 1858. The church is built of squared limestone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a bellcote, pinnacles and window tracery.
The building
Designed by William Barre of Newry, the church was constructed in 1858 at a cost of £800. It is a Decorated Gothic-style structure featuring snecked limestone walls with buttresses and cut sandstone window surrounds. The site includes an adjoining former schoolhouse and is set back from the street behind a rubble stone boundary wall with cast-iron gates.
