About Our Lady of Lourdes
Our Lady of Lourdes was built around 1840. It has a six-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a three-stage bell tower, stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and mosaic work. The aisles was added in 1938.
Notable people
W. H. Byrne and Sons were responsible for the 1938-39 reconstruction and extension of the church, while Owen Larkin of Ballinasloe carried out the building works.
