About Narraghmore The Holy Saviour
Narraghmore The Holy Saviour was built between 1860 and 1863 in the Gothic Revival style. The church is built of squared limestone. Notable features include stained-glass windows, buttressed walls and lancet windows.
The building
Originally an estate chapel, the structure features a corbelled turret with a spirelet and stepped buttresses. The snecked limestone walls are detailed with cut-granite dressings, including quoins and a moulded stringcourse. Slate roofs are finished with decorative crested clay ridge tiles and cross finials. The site is enclosed by cast-iron railings and contains cut-stone grave markers.
