About Monreagh Presbyterian Church
Monreagh Presbyterian Church was built in 1710. The church has rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include window tracery and lancet windows.
History
The date stone over the entrance reads 1644, which marks the foundation of the local Presbyterian congregation, apparently the second oldest in Ireland. The current structure was built in 1710 by the Revd. William Gray, replacing an earlier church nearby. It was remodelled c. 1840 and renovated internally c. 1880.
