About Lissadell
Lissadell was built around 1860. It has a five-bay nave, built of ashlar stone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a bell tower with a spire, stained-glass windows, buttressed walls and lancet windows.
The building
This Church of Ireland church features a two-bay gable-fronted chancel, a four-bay north aisle, and a single-bay vestry. The structure includes a gable-fronted entrance porch and a three-stage square bell-tower with a four-sided tooled ashlar spire. Cast-iron clock faces appear on the south and east faces of the tower. The grounds contain a Gore-Booth family burial plot with cut stone grave markers and wrought-iron gates.
