About Kinsale Methodist Church

Kinsale Methodist Church dates from 1873. It has a four-bay nave, built of squared stone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include window tracery, buttressed walls and lancet windows.

History

Methodism was introduced to Kinsale in 1748 by Charles Wesley. This building is the third Methodist Church erected in the town, replacing two earlier structures located at Compass Hill. The current church was constructed in 1873 and is situated in the centre of town.
