About Immaculate Conception, Galmoy
Immaculate Conception, Galmoy was built in 1845. It has a cruciform plan with a three-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and pinnacles.
The building
The church features a cruciform plan with a double-height nave and transepts. The exterior includes rendered walls, cut-limestone coping, and a bellcote topped with a cross finial. Windows have pointed arches with drag-edged sills and leaded stained glass. The interior contains timber pews, Gothic-style stations, and a reordered sanctuary with a memorial high altar.
