About Dundalk Baptist Church
Dundalk Baptist Church is a Baptist church in Dundalk, County Louth, a member of the Association of Baptist Churches in Ireland.
History
The congregation emerged from a small Bible study group that began meeting in the Dundalk area in the late 1970s. It was formally constituted as a church in February 1988 with the assistance of Newry Baptist Church, and had eight members at the outset. The church gives its confession of faith as the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith.
The building
The congregation meets in the Old Railway Hall in Ardee Terrace, which it purchased in 1990, by which time its membership had grown to about 20, as a centre for worship and outreach. The premises have been substantially renovated since.
