About Church of the Sacred Heart, Rathcoffey
Church of the Sacred Heart, Rathcoffey was built around 1820. It has a cruciform plan and rendered walls. Notable features include stained-glass windows and a marble altar.
History
A committee of local landlords patronised the church. Its transept galleries are reached by external flights of stairs, and the road-facing east end is formed by three polygonal projections: the apse and two flanking porches.
