Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Butlerstown was built around 1840. It has a cruciform plan with a two-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a bell tower, stained-glass windows, a bellcote and crenellated parapets.
The building
The church features a cruciform plan with a double-height nave, transepts, and chancel. A three-stage rubble stone belfry with a bellcote was added around 1890, while single-storey porches were appended to the transepts circa 1940. The site includes a graveyard with cut-stone markers and a freestanding mausoleum dating from approximately 1865.
