About Church of the Immaculate Conception, The Lough
Church of the Immaculate Conception, The Lough was built around 1880 in the Romanesque style. It has a cruciform plan, built of brick. Notable features include a bell tower and stained-glass windows. It was designed by George Ashlin.
History
During the first part of the twentieth century the church was enlarged by James F. McMullen. This was a later documented building campaign following the original nineteenth-century construction.
