About St Fin Barre's Cathedral
St Fin Barre's Cathedral is a Gothic Revival gem designed by William Burges. Built between 1865 and 1879, its three spires dominate Cork's skyline. The cathedral is dedicated to the founder of Cork, St Fin Barre, who established a monastery here in the 7th century.
