About Church of The Immaculate Conception, Coole
Church of The Immaculate Conception, Coole dates from 1841. It has a T-shaped plan with a two-bay nave under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows.
History
The church was extensively altered around 1976 by the parish priest, Reverend Patrick Fagan. The Dease family of nearby Turbotstown House donated the land and probably helped fund construction; the unusual use of round and segmental-headed openings.
