About Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Milford
Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Milford dates from 1903. It has an L-shaped plan with a five-bay nave, built of squared sandstone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained glass including a rose window, a bellcote and an internal gallery.
The building
The church has projecting side aisles and an L-plan sacristy at the south-east with a later extension. The entrances retain timber doors with foliated wrought-iron hinges, and the site boundary includes cast-iron gates.
