About Church of the Ascension, Gurranabraher
Church of the Ascension, Gurranabraher was built between 1953 and 1955. It has a cruciform plan, built of brick. Notable features include a three-stage tower, stained-glass windows, mosaic work and window tracery.
History
The church was the first of the group known as the Rosary Churches. Construction cost £100,000, and J. R. Boyd-Barrett was its architect.
