About Church of St Senan’s
Church of St Senan’s was built in 1866. It has a simple single-cell form and rendered walls. Notable features include stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and lancet windows.
History
The chapel was erected in 1866 with financial support from Richard Joseph Devereux of Wexford. It was originally intended for exclusive use by the Order of the Sisters of Mercy. The building was renovated in 1890 and 1911, and extended in 1979 to serve as a chapel-of-ease to Saint Aidan's Catholic Cathedral.
