Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary was built in 1938. It has a nine-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched copper roof. Notable features include a bell tower, stained-glass windows, a bellcote and a marble altar.

The building

Designed by W.H. Byrne Architects of Dublin and built by Larkins of Ballinasloe, the church combines classical Corinthian portico elements with modernist features like a stepped bell tower. It features a nine-bay nave, integral timber confessionals, and a barrel-vaulted ceiling. The structure includes a double-height apse, sacristy, and boiler house, all under pitched copper roofs with cross finials.
