About Church of Our Lady of the Snows, Stonetown
Church of Our Lady of the Snows, Stonetown dates from 1837. It has a T-shaped plan and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows and a bellcote.
History
Built in 1837 by Rev. P Banan, the church was renovated by Very Rev. J Finn and rededicated on 1 July 1987 by Thomas O Fiach. The east gable bears plaques recording these events. The building features a two-bay sacristy to the west and an entrance porch to the east, with a bellcote surmounted by a carved cross.
