About Christ The King Church, Quansboro
Christ The King Church, Quansboro was built around 1879. It has a T-shaped plan with a two-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and an internal gallery.
The building
A lower chancel and sacristy were added to the north around 1930, accompanied by a boiler house. The interior contains carved marble altar furniture, rails, and a timber confessional in the east transept. The site entrance features cut limestone piers with curved pointed caps and plinth walls. The parish was known as Fahy and Kilquain or simply Fahy from 1849.
