About Ballynoe Church (St. Catherine's)
Ballynoe Church (St. Catherine's) dates from 1820. It has a single-cell plan with a four-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and a marble altar.
The building
The entrance is a lancet arch set in a cut-limestone surround and fitted with a double-leaf timber-panelled door. The front boundary combines snecked rock-faced limestone, cut-stone copings and decorative wrought-iron railings, with square gate piers under pointed gable caps.
