About Ballisodare Holy Trinity
Ballisodare Holy Trinity was built around 1840. It has a five-bay nave, built of squared limestone. Notable features include a three-stage tower. The church stands in its own graveyard.
The building
The Church of Ireland structure features an apsidal chancel to the east and an apsidal vestry to the north. The west tower is topped with a lead-covered flat roof and an elaborate wrought-iron bell cage. The squared limestone walls include a deep dentilled eaves frieze, round-headed windows with diamond-pane leaded lights, and a south entrance with painted timber doors.
