About Urban Junction Methodist Church

Urban Junction Methodist Church is a congregation of the Methodist Church in Ireland in Blackrock, County Dublin. It is part of the South East Leinster in the Southern District.

History

In 1998 Blackrock Methodist Church began to be used specifically for youth work in the local area. A small group of young adults from nearby churches took on the project and started a teenage disco called bounce, intended as a safe place for young people at the weekend. Activities grew to include a Friday night youth group for children, homework clubs and drop-in times.

The building was renovated in 2003 to make it more suitable for community activities.
