About St. Saviour's Priory, Waterford
St. Saviour's Priory, Waterford was built between 1872 and 1880. The church has rendered walls under a hipped slate roof. Notable features include a five-stage tower, stained-glass windows, mosaic work and an open timber roof. It was designed by George Goldie.
History
The church was condemned in the late twentieth century and subsequently consolidated. Much of its original form and character survived, together with decorative plasterwork and extensive cut-stone dressings, particularly at the frontispiece.
