About St Peter and Paul's Church, Drumconrath

St Peter and Paul's Church, Drumconrath was built in 1833. It has a cruciform plan and rendered walls. Notable features include stained-glass windows and buttressed walls.

The building

The church features a gable-fronted cruciform plan with a chancel to the north-west. Its roughcast rendered walls are supported by limestone corner buttresses and adorned with a carved stone plaque. Entrances include timber panelled doors with stained glass overlights set in carved limestone pointed-arch openings with hood moulding. The site is bounded by cast-iron railings on limestone plinths with ashlar gate piers and double gates, alongside a freestanding belfry housing a cast-iron bell.
