About St Patrick’s, Oram
St Patrick’s, Oram was built around 1830. It has a T-shaped plan with a three-bay nave and rendered walls. Notable features include stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and carved Stations of the Cross.
The building
The church features a pitched slate roof with clay ridge cresting and carved cross gable apex finials. The interior contains a timber panelled roof with exposed king-post trusses and a marble reredos flanked by engaged fluted pilasters. A free-standing marble altar sits on a stepped platform, while a baptismal font is located at the junction of the nave and eastern transept.
