About St Patrick's Church, Knockcroghery
St Patrick's Church, Knockcroghery was built around 1870. It has a seven-bay nave, built of limestone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a two-stage bell tower with a copper spire, stained-glass windows, an open timber roof and pinnacles.
Notable features
The roof is carried on hammerbeam trusses, and a pointed-arched colonnade separates the side aisle from the main space. The churchyard contains graves of deceased priests to the south and is bounded by a low wall with ashlar gate piers and wrought-iron gates.
