About Church of the Sacred Heart, Roscommon
Church of the Sacred Heart, Roscommon was built in 1903. It has a cruciform plan with a six-bay nave, built of limestone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a five-stage tower, stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and mosaic work. The spire was added in 1916.
