About St. Michael’s Church, Cappamore
St. Michael’s Church, Cappamore was built in 1836. It has a cruciform plan with a two-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and a marble altar.
The building
A later gable-fronted frontpiece on the north has a recessed central bay and a canted ground-floor projection with a canopy. Catslide additions adjoin the transepts, while a gabled chancel and a two-bay single-storey sacristy extension occupy the south side.
