About St Mary's Church, Ballygar
St Mary's Church, Ballygar dates from 1857 and is built in the Gothic Revival style. It has a T-shaped plan, built of limestone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a three-stage bell tower, stained-glass windows, carved Stations of the Cross and a marble altar.
