About St Mary’s Church, Athlone
St Mary’s Church, Athlone was built between 1855 and 1865 in the Gothic Revival style. The church has a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a four-stage tower with a broach spire, stained-glass windows, window tracery and buttressed walls.
