About St Fachtna’s Church, Adrigole
St Fachtna’s Church, Adrigole was built in 1840. It has a five-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched artificial slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and an internal gallery. The church stands in its own graveyard.
The building
The entrance gable is arranged as a central stepped breakfront. Its doorway is round-headed within a camber-headed recess, with a double-leaf timber battened door and a rendered tympanum carrying the date. These details sit within the otherwise single-cell arrangement.
